I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Pasadena, California. I’m a former Marine and combat veteran with a passion for photography and sharing an active lifestyle with friends and my pup, Otto Jr (2 year old Boxer).
I have always been active and have been weight training for over 20 years. At one point I held three personal trainer certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, National Council on Strength and Fitness, and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.
I also have an associate’s degree in Criminal Law and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Six years of Marine Corps Infantry training and the war in Iraq taught me that the human body can be pushed well beyond its comfort zone however, I didn’t enjoy long distance running until I got involved with the LA running community three years ago. Since then I’ve completed four full marathons, 20 half marathons, and numerous 5k’s and 10k’s. Running has allowed me to travel to many destination races with friends in different states and countries.
However, the most rewarding experience has been the ability to combine my love for photography and sports.
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to cover various running events and races with the LA Marathon being the most recent. I love that I am able to shoot photos of friends and fellow runners both, on and off, the race course.
My goal is always to stay healthy, train smart, and to use the proper supplements to fuel my passions, in the weight room, on a run, or behind the camera.
It definitely boosts my mood. I get an amazing pump and great workout without feeling a crash. And, Screamin Energy Max Hit is perfect for keeping me alert on road trips, great fuel for training or races, or whenever I need a boost of energy.
