Before running I was a lazy chubby sleeper. I would come home right after work and just munch on fast food and sleep after. I never imagined myself to fall in love with the sport of running.
One Wednesday night my best friend invited me to go run with his running crew named BlacklistLA. I didn't know they were half way their Marathon training cycle. It was one of their speed workouts that day. It was a 2 Mile Warm-Up and 8x400 at their 10K pace. I honestly didn't know what that was at the time, but once they got to it I honestly died of tiredness! I only did 2 laps and had to stop.
Ever since that day I never stopped showing up to their runs. At that time I was weighing at a whopping 170 pounds. Now I weigh 142. I've have became faster and I'm trying to become faster than I am now.
I am trying to inspire and motivate others that nothing is impossible.
I am now with BlacklistLA's Boston Qualifier Team. This team is training to qualify for Boston so we are non-stop training.
So my goal for this year or the next is to qualify for Boston this year or the next at a Sub 3:00 Marathon Time!
I love taking it before my races and training runs. It literally wakes me up and boosts up my energy!
